Our Peer Review Policy
1. Initial Editorial Screening
Each submitted manuscript is reviewed by the editorial team to confirm that it aligns with the journal’s scope, submission requirements, academic standards and ethical policies. A plagiarism and similarity check may also be conducted before the manuscript proceeds to external review.
2. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent subject-matter experts. ACIJ follows a double-blind review process, meaning that the identities of both the authors and reviewers remain confidential. Reviewers assess the manuscript’s originality, quality, methodology, findings and contribution.
3. Editorial Decision and Revision
The Editor considers the reviewers’ recommendations and communicates the decision to the corresponding author. Authors may be required to make minor or major revisions and submit a detailed response explaining how each reviewer comment has been addressed.
4. Acceptance and Publication
Once all reviewer and editorial concerns have been satisfactorily addressed, the manuscript is accepted for publication. It then proceeds to copyediting, proofreading, layout preparation, metadata processing and final author approval before publication.

Once a manuscript is deemed to fall within the journal’s scope and meets the required academic and ethical standards, it is sent to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.
2. Double-Blind Peer Review
The reviewers assess the manuscript’s originality, methodological quality, clarity, relevance and contribution to knowledge. ACIJ follows a double-blind review process, meaning that the identities of both the authors and reviewers remain confidential.
3. Revision and Editorial Assessment
Authors receive the anonymised reviewer comments and may be required to revise the manuscript. The revised submission is assessed by the Editor and may be returned to the reviewers where further evaluation is necessary.
4. Acceptance and Publication
Once all reviewer and editorial concerns have been satisfactorily addressed, the manuscript is accepted. It then proceeds through copyediting, proofreading, layout preparation and final approval before publication.
